Students will strengthen their phonemic awareness to build a foundation of reading skills. 
Students will begin to understand that letters represent certain sounds (alphabetic principle)
Students will become familiar with the days of the week, months, and seasons. 
Students will practice both rote counting and 1:1 correspondence as we count the days in our monthly calendar. 
Students will become familiar in identifying and describing the weather. 

As a preschool teacher, I teach circle time daily in my own classroom and have two years of experience preparing children for kindergarten. I integrate early learning standards into all of my circle time lessons to ensure that all students are learning necessary skills while having fun at the same time.  I have taught this same one-time course to my in-person students and had a very positive response.
