In this ongoing class we will join together each week and learn how to draw and colour super cute things in the Kawaii style, such as flowers, tacos, monsters, animals, sushi and more! Kawaii means 'cute' in Japanese and Kawaii style drawings can be of anything, from animals to food! Students can make requests of things they would like to learn how to draw in the Kawaii style. I will go through step by step instructions using slides and live drawing demonstrating make our beautiful Kawaii artworks. It will be a super fun club where students are free to express themselves through art and creativity. I will also give some great tips and tricks to what makes something look 'Kawaii' and I love to encourage students to share their work at the end of the class. My teaching style is very enthusiastic and I like to encourage my students by praising what they are doing well and sensitively pointing out where they could improve. The best way to learn is through doing and so my lesson will be very interactive and engaging. The students will need some plain paper, a pencil, an eraser, sharpener and coloured pens or pencils, including the colour black. They can also use paints if they wish. No required experience or knowledge is needed for this class. Just a joy and curious attitude about art and how to draw!
