Students will learn/review what an adjective is. They will learn a song about adjectives that will help them remember what an adjective is. Then they will use their 5 senses to describe a food of their choice. I will demonstrate and model how to smell, taste, see, listen, and feel in order to describe the food of choice. I recommend 3-5 fruit and vegetables but any food will work. They will create adjectives that describe the fruit and then will share out these with the group. Your child will...
Students will learn that they can use their five senses to create adjectives for things. They will also learn how to write interesting sentences that include great adjectives.
I have taught many lessons while teaching in schools where students struggled to remember what an adjective is and when and how to use them. This lesson is designed to engage students about adjectives through experiencing them in a hands on way.
