수업 소개

Have you ever wondered what classes are out there to help you become fluent in Japanese? I know I have. Well, I have designed this five-part beginner class (and more classes to come) to help you on your journey to becoming fluent. This class will not only help you learn grammar and vocabulary efficiently and effectively but will also help you learn about the culture and the people as well.

I will put you in real-life situations where you will be encouraged to use Japanese to successfully communicate with others.

After this lesson, students will be able to:

Week 1:

1. Review the Kanji they have learned
-Reading stories with kanji
-Answering questions from the story that is read
-Answer true or false questions based on what you read

Week 2:

1. Practice reading some stories about people using the grammar we have learned
2. Learn some vocabulary words related to colors (red, green, purple).
3. Learn about Comparing two or more items (I like this more than this, this one is better than that one.)

Week 3:

1. Read a story of review to see what needs to be reviewed and not
2. Learn the vocabulary words for colors
3. Read a story with new grammar and vocabulary to see if he can learn the context clues to figure out what the story means
4. Learn about comparing two items together.

Week 4:

1. Comparing three or more items (Which do you like the best)
2. Avoiding repetition (you sometimes do not have to put the subject or the direct object, if it is already implied)

Week 5:

1. Expressing intention in Japan (I intend to quit, I intend to not stop etc.)
2. To become (I will become strong, I will become healthy)

You will definitely enjoy this class. We will play in class games, provide visual aids to help guide discussion, group discussion and real life situations to solidify what to say in certain situations. Some examples of real life situations would be what would you say if someone stepped on your foot, if someone saw your messy room how would you explain it?

I want you to feel comfortable and engaged while learning.

There is a pre-requisite. You will either need to know how to read, write and speak Hiragana and Katakana before this class or take Hiragana and Katakana classes simultaneously. You will also need to have taken Road to Fluency Beginner Class 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 or know all the material in this class.

Please bring an open mind and be ready to learn.

Please note: "All material will be presented via PowerPoint and screen shared by the teacher. The games will also be screen shared by the teacher. Learners will not click links, access outsides websites, or need to login to any accounts."
