수업 소개
Building confidence is key to any foreign language, and that is what I will be doing through this class. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Italian for Kids is a series of classes that include learning vocabulary. Classes can be taken consecutively or not. We focus on vocabulary (more focus on conversation is in Italian for Beginners and Italian for Teens). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Week 1: Students will learn 16 flowers and be given a pdf with photographs of the plants that could be used as flashcards. Week 2: Students will learn the rest of the pdf from the first class of 16 more flowers. Week 3: Students will learn 16 terms to do with parts of the flower and be given a worksheet to fill out the answers for homework. Terms include pollen, stem, roots, ovary, petal, stigma, etc.) Week 4: We will learn 5 things a plant needs to grow (in Italian) and the plant sequence. Week 5: Review. *Each time, we will review the vocabulary from the last lesson. *Students will be given a PDF, fun worksheets, or colorings after each class, in order to review if they would like to. Homework is optional. *Schedule is subject to change. I will have more Italian classes coming soon! ------------------------------------------ (If you have older students, I have other Italian classes too: Italian for Beginners & Italian for Teens). *Also you can request a new time if you need a different time slot. (Italian for Kids 12.)

The goal of this class is to help students get excited and feel confident in learning Italian through learning vocabulary. This class may also peak their intersted in gardening and plants.

You don't need to buy materials. Students will be given matching worksheets, coloring sheets, and/or more to help them review what they have learned. Therefore, a printer and crayons would be helpful but homework is optional, so this is not necessary.

In high school, I was only offered Spanish. I believe that taking foreign language classes opens the doors to many opportunities. My love for language has continued to grow and at university, I took Italian. I now give students the opportunity to learn a language that they are interested in and make learning fun.
