Ciao, mi chiamo Lucia. I always wanted to know where Marinara is from. What are the different types of pasta? How to make fresh ravioli? This class teaches you how to make fresh pasta and a sauce to season it from scratch. We will make the sauce for seasoning our pasta or the filling for the ravioli. In this 1 day camp, learners will cook Italian recipes from scratch, they will learn kneading techniques and also learn some fun facts about Italy as well as the origins of the recipe they will be making. It will be a fun way to explore another country and culture through cooking and fun facts. They will also learn about the different sauce types to use with each pasta shape.

Safety is always the number one priority with our children, especially when in the kitchen. The students will learn proper knife skills and how to safely handle and use a knife. When we are using the stove it is imperative that the children are safe and have an adult nearby to oversee them during these times. I will be sure to go over and explain how we work around a stove and how to use proper safety measures when cooking on a stove.
