Italy is amazing! Just think of Italy's beautiful language, fashion, movies, art, architecture, music, landscapes, and of course food! Each week in this ongoing class, we will learn about this amazing culture and we will practice saying and listening to Italian words. You are welcome to join any week that interests you or stay for several weeks to gain a better appreciation of the Italian language and culture. Each week we will start with greetings, simple conversations, and easy songs....

Students will learn about Italian culture (geography, arts, architecture, current events, food, music, family, fashion). They will also learn greetings and simple conversations. They will be exposed to the beautiful melodic language and learn some Italian vocabulary related to the week.
I am a certified Italian teacher (K-12) in the state of California and have been speaking and studying Italian all my life. Italian is my passion and I love sharing it with children. I am inspired by Homeschool Languages and am using that curriculum for my scope and sequence. I love how this curriculum builds up the language with practice and review and connects Italian culture (geography, arts, food, fashion) to the lessons. Italian is a wonderful language for children. It is fun, easy to start using right away, and important for understanding world history. I have a BA and MA in Italian. I taught children k-5 in an Italian immersion IB school for five years. I have been teaching online for two years.

Only age-appropriate content will be displayed in all projections. Youtube - video that will be projected only during class. No username or password is required. Suitable for learners under 13 years. It will not be used for homework assignments.
I use the Homeschool Languages curriculum as a guide for ideas on cultural content. The Homeschool Languages curriculum contains links to kids' educational videos on Youtube to expose the students to this beautiful language. Youtube (see parental guidance above)
