Begin your journey into learning industry-standard 3D modeling software with this introduction to AutoDesk Fusion 360! Students will learn to use basic commands within Fusion 360 to create basic 3D-modeled shapes.
This class is led my members of the Lord of the Bricks FIRST Tech Challenge Robotics Team, one of the most successful FTC robotics teams in Virginia. The team is coached by Coach Shari, who attended the University of Virginia Engineering School, and has been a professional programmer for 30 years. Coach Shari has been recognized as SolidWorks Engineering's May 2016 Women in Engineering spotlight honoree, and holds the distinction of being a RichTech 2017 Finalist for the Innovation in Education Award.
Create a AutoDesk account; and download and install Fusion 360 free 3D CAD/CAM design software for students and educators https://www.autodesk.com/products/fusion-360/students-teachers-educators Your student should sign up as a high school student (the presumed level of this software). Signing up as a homeschool student makes the verification process simpler (we are a primarily homeschool team).
