Lessons will be taught using timed typing tests and games to increase learner proficiency. Homework assignments will be to practice the work done in class. Learners progress will be evaluated by typing exercises and completed assignments, and class will culminate with a typing test to show their accomplishment. Completion of a Basic Typing class is required.

Week 1: Practice exercises incorporating all keys (letters, numbers, and punctuation) and self-practice between classes

Week 2: Practicing typing paragraphs including numbers, letters, symbols and punctuation and self-practice between classes

Week 3:  Type a paragraph about something of interest to share with the class to enhance keyboard efficiency

Week 4:  Completing speed typing tests to increase competency and practice of symbols
