수업 소개
In this one time class, students will have the chance to further develop their brush calligraphy skills by focusing on the upper case alphabet, flourishing, and adding different text styles to quotes. We will begin with a short warmup and review of lowercase letters, and then move onto perfecting our uppercase letters. We will then put these skills into use by writing short phrases or quotes. Students will also learn how to add flourishes and contrasting fonts to add an extra element to their work. Classes will be conducted with an additional overhead view of my brush-lettering work so that students can follow along. Students will also receive a worksheet upon enrolment that allows them to trace each letter! Class will not have a formal lecture, but students are encouraged to ask questions and share their work as we go. It is very hands-on; so students should have all their materials prepared and be ready to follow along! This class is best suited for students who have already completed "Calligraphy for Beginners" and are comfortable with basic lettering.

Hi there! My name is Kelsi—I'm happy you stumbled upon my classroom!
In my classroom, I like to turn the phrase "jack of all trades, master of none" on its head. No matter your skill level or age, there's no better way to satisfy your creative or intellectual itch than by trying new things. Here you'll find a hodgepodge of classes to satisfy any learner; from the most studious, to the most creative. Calligraphy and card making, primatology, photography, ancient ruins, evolution, books, and film are some of my dearest passions that I hope to share with you!
I have been teaching for 1 year as a community dance, art, and sports instructor, and as an online ESL teacher since September 2020. I graduated from Simon Fraser University with an honours degree in archaeology, a minor in biology, and a certificate in biological anthropology. I've always been happiest when I can pursue academic interests plus a creative outlet, so I like to cater to both avenues.
I strongly believe that exploring different interests should be accessible and fun, without the stressful commitment of visiting a stuffy classroom every week. My hope is to provide a relaxed, upbeat environment where children feel empowered to pursue their interests and grow them into lifelong passions. I love learning and my goal is to help others fall in love with learning, too!
