This is a class designed to ease the mind of new drivers on what to expect when they are stopped for a traffic violation by a police officer. As a retired Houston Police Officer, I will make them aware of what to expect and how to have a positive interaction with the police officer. The class will include discussions, there will be a couple of videos, and then explaining the good and bad actions of the driver. The students will learn that a traffic stop is for a minor traffic violation and learn skills to make that interaction positive. The student will learn good habits to exhibit when they encounter a police officer during a traffic stop.
I do not think that there will be any sensitive information, but, as a retired police officer, I have conducted numerous traffic stops.
