In this course, students will learn in an interactive and student centered environment. During this live, 55 minute class, students will participate in a bell ringer, discussion time, content delivery, interactive activity and exit ticket showing mastery. We will focus on the importance of handwashing in order to prevent infectious disease. This is a great skill to learn in order to keep yourself and others healthy. It is also the basis of hygiene and patient safety in healthcare. Most importantly, we will have FUN while we learn! 

Class Agenda: 
Bell Ringer- "When do you wash your hands?"
Discussion - Discuss bell ringer and content related questions. 
Content- When and why we wash our hands. Soap and water vs. hand sanitizer. Proper hand hygiene practices. Modeling of handwashing skill. 
Interactice Activity- Students will practice handwashing skill with teacher support based on national guidelines. 
Exit Ticket- Students will answer questions to assess mastery at the end of the lesson.
