Learners ages 10-13 will learn about the history of the poem "In Flander's Fields" and analyze it through recitations and questioning. Learners will have the opportunity to learn about Remembrance Day (UK, Canada) or Armistice Day, November 11th. We will listen to and read the poem "In Flader's Fields" in French and discuss the vocabulary. We will practice pronunciation and look for synonyms of unfamiliar words and discuss meaning of each stanza using a Google slide show presentation. ...
Students will understand the significance of November 11th for World War One. Students will be able to identify vocabulary related to November 11th and the poem. Students will be able to read and understand the poem "In Flander's Fields".

Please have a blank piece of paper (white, unlined is best) and crayons or colored pencils.
