*PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE DESCRIPTION FOR COMPLETE UNDERSTANDING OF THIS CLASS -This course includes 4 LIVE sessions -Live sessions will be held once a week. -During the live sessions, students will be able to practice reading skills, fluency, comprehension, interact with each other about fun books to read, and play reading games. Students come to class to practice reading and meet weekly reading goals in comprehension and fluency. -This is a 30 MINUTE class that meets once per week for 4 weeks The live sessions include: Lesson 1 (comprehension/fluency practice) Lesson 2 (comprehension/fluency practice, main idea/supporting details) Lesson 3 (comprehension/fluency practice, drawing conclusions/inferences) Lesson 4 (comprehension/fluency practice, cause&effect/making predictions) *THIS CLASS FOLLOWS THE LIMITED REFUND POLICY. *IF THERE ARE MULTIPLE STUDENTS ENROLLED IN THE CLASS, STUDENTS THAT ARRIVE LATE WILL MISS CLASS INFORMATION. ***IF NO STUDENT SHOWS UP FOR CLASS WITHIN THE FIRST 15 MINUTES OF CLASS, THE STUDENT(S) WILL BE COUNTED AS A NO-SHOW AND CLASS WILL END. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT BECAUSE IF STUDENTS MISS CLASS, THOSE ARE SPOTS THAT OTHER STUDENTS COULD USE. -This course also includes 12 video lessons posted at the beginning of the course to be viewed throughout the course guiding students towards stronger reading comprehension and enjoyment. *THESE ARE ADDITIONAL VIDEO LESSONS TO GIVE STUDENTS MORE READING TIPS The video lessons include: Lesson 1- Introduction, Fluency, Subject/Verb Lesson 2- Main Idea, Summary, Plot Lesson 3- Vocabulary, Figure of Speech Lesson 4- Compare/Contrast, Fact/Opinion, Cause/Effect Lesson 5- Sequence Lesson 6- Author's Purpose Lesson 7- Draw Conclusions, Inferences, Predictions Lesson 8- Self-Questioning, Reflection Lesson 9- Comprehension Practice Lesson 10- Spelling Lesson 11- Fun With Reading Lesson 12- Book Talks

I have noticed in my years of teaching the increased problem that students have with reading comprehension. We all want our children to be strong readers, however, we don't all learn it or take interest in it the same way. My course will help students grow from where they are individually and develop the actual skills to understand what they have read and how to build an enjoyment for reading. I have seen students that I teach go from hating reading to asking their parents for BOOKS as gifts! I would love to expand my reach and help even more students grow and improve in reading!리뷰
