Although I'm not a huge fan of cold weather, I find great beauty in it. Let’s imagine ourselves viewing such a serene landscape while learning how to utilize various brush strokes and painting techniques to mix colors as we progress through this painting together. We will discuss perspective to understand the illusion of space on a 2-dimensional surface. I am a PreK-12 certified art teacher and have been teaching for 20+ years to a variety of age ranges both in schools and in the private sector.
Painting surface 8” X 10”, 9” X 12”, or 11” X 14” (this can vary with what supplies you have at home): Stretched canvas, canvas board, cardboard, thick paper, recycled materials like the inside of a cereal box, etc. Pencil Acrylic paint - You may use any combination of colors you wish and we will mix lighter and darker colors as needed but especially white and blue. Brushes - a variety of sizes Water Cup Paper Towel A placemat and paint shirt or apron are recommended
