내가 슈퍼 히어로라면: 창작 글쓰기(글쓰기를 당신의 슈퍼 파워로 만들어 보세요)

1) What will be taught? In this one time class students will get the opportunity to write about their life if they were a super hero. There are questions to be answered. What super powers would you want? What would you do with them? Would you have a costume? There is so much to write about and so little time. Come make writing your super power! 
2) What topics will you cover? I will cover brainstorming before you start a creative writing story. I will cover what goes into the beginning, middle, and end of a story. I will cover details and why they are so important to creative writing stories. I will cover correct punctuation and capitalization. Most importantly, I will be covering these while still making learning FUN.
3) How much will learners get to interact with students? Students will get to interact with students when brainstorming what superheros can, have, and are. They will also get to read their writing to the class if they choose. 

Lesson:
Beginning- Students will introduce themselves to the class.
Next- Students will read a story about being a super hero.  I will be asking comprehension questions for students to get extra reading practice during the story. This will give them time to think of things they could include in their writing.
Next- We will do brainstorming about what superhero's can, have, and are. 
Next- I will explain what creative writing is and what needs to be included in the beginning, middle, and end of a story. I will also explain how to use details to expand on writing. 
Next- Students and myself will write a story about my life as a super hero. 
Last- Students will write their own stories about their life as a super hero. 
*They can share their stories at the end of class if they choose.
