In this class, young learners will identify beginning letter sounds x, y, and z. We will explore letter sounds during our "I Spy" game using common objects and animals. We will also discuss the tricky nature of the 'x' sound. We find it at the end of a word instead of the beginning! For example, fox and box.

Using a Montessori-inspired approach, we will focus on the sound of each letter. This encourages each learner to learn the meaning of a letter compared to its letter name. In this class we will learn letter sounds first. An example is, "I Spy with my little eye something that starts with zzzz....zebra!"
