This is a one-time-a-week, semester course that will meet 12 times in total. Learners will be introduced to anatomical and osteology (bone) terminology and will learn all about human bones! This class is for serious learners, perhaps those considering going into healthcare professions. Material will be presented on Slides with many labeled images. Google Jamboard is also used for interactive review sessions of what we learn. Instructor will post PDFs frequently to share important information...
After taking a class, students will be more comfortable with basic anatomical and osteology (bone) terminology, be able to identify the bones, and locate important bony structures.
I am a licensed physical therapist. I have my Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy as well as my Bachelor's Degree in Health Sciences.

There is a possibility that some students (especially those who have never studied human anatomy) may be sensitive to seeing human anatomy images as these images show the inside structures of the human body. Images used in this class are animated/drawings and not real photos. The images are a representation of the body structures, showing differing aspects and layers (skin, muscles, bones, nerves, etc...). Parents, please just be aware of this, and feel free to reach out if you have any questions or concerns for your learner!
List of anatomy books and study resources is available upon request.
