In this one-time, self-paced class, students will... 👉 Learn what a haiku poem is (including where it originates from & structure of the poem) 👉 Be provided with several examples of haikus. 👉 Be provided with a model for how to brainstorm & write a haiku, by Miss Katie's example ...Then students will be encouraged to write their very own haiku! Students may post their finished haiku writing on the classroom page to share with Miss Katie.

Learn to Write a Haiku!
Students will learn what a haiku poem is, including where it originates from and the structure of a haiku.
Students will be provided with several examples of haikus.
Then, Miss Katie will model how to brainstorm & write a haiku.
Students will be encouraged to write their very own haiku.
