In this self paced class, we will practice the strategies to solve a 3x3 Rubik's cube. We will learn the patterns to solving the different layers by practicing and gaining muscle memory for each layer. We will learn how to spin the Rubik's cube and how to name each pattern and ways to turn the cube. This class will be self paced to give learners time to learn each pattern and get feedback from classmates and a teacher. Each week, learners will review the basics and vocabulary for solving the cube and then have time to practice using the strategies. You do not need any experience solving a Rubik's cube. Learners will need to have the fine motor control to manipulate the cube in order to complete the patterns.
Each week a new pattern will be taught in order to solve the Rubik's cube. Videos will be provided using google slides and linked Youtube videos and learners will be able to add pictures and videos of themselves solving the cube. 


Learner interactions: Learner interactions will take place on google slides. Each set of slides will have a video of the move and then subsequent slides will be colored coded for learners to share videos and pictures of their cubes. Learners will get feedback from the teacher each week and be able to ask questions about the moves. Learners will be able to see other learners' progress and ask questions and make comments to other learners. Students will have a "parking lot" to ask teacher questions that will be answered weekly in the comments and on video. 

Important Notice: This is a self paced class so there will be no live lessons. This class also uses Google Slides so there is some reading and writing that may be involved in the gathering feedback from students.
