In this one-hour class, students will work step-by-step to create a realistic pencil drawing of a cat's eye. Although some experience with drawing would be great, it is not required, as I will be walking you through every step of this process. This class will briefly discuss drawing paper, pencils, and other tools that can be used to enhance a young artist's skills. Students must be able to sit and draw for one hour while in this class.
Paper - Drawing paper is not required, but a favorite of mine is Strathmore 300 Series Bristol Pad, Smooth. A pad of this drawing paper in 9x12" size is around $9. Pencil - Drawing pencils are not required for this class, and I will be using a basic mechanical pencil for this reason. However, if students have drawing pencils, they are welcome to use them! Eraser - Basic eraser, or a kneaded eraser (less than $1) if desired. A Quarter - This is needed for the outline of the cat's eye.
