Let’s take the stress out of this necessary life skill! To learn to properly care for their personal spaces, kids need the tools, strategies, and encouragement. And unarguably, this is a task we as parents REALLY want our kids to master! In my simple step-by-step approach, kids will have fun learning and...

Students will learn to take ownership and pride in their personal spaces. Students will learn a life skill they’ll need and use for the rest of their lives!
I love to clean! It’s true! I know it’s weird, but it’s just who I am! I was not neat as a child, though. I was a prolific writer, and as such, I had mountains of papers. I would save every scrap of paper, even if it was a false start of a story, or I’d changed my mind. “You never know, I might need to revisit that idea again”, was my motto, and when the inevitable “clean your room” command came, I would grab all the papers and stuff them in my desk cabinet, push hard, and turn the key. When the cabinet became so jammed, not even a gum wrapper could be shoved in there, I started stashing papers in my closet. The tower actually helped me reach my hanging clothes! A step stool of sorts for this little shorty. Until one fateful day, when I was at a sleepover, and my parents “cleaned my room for me. And by cleaned, I mean they threw everything away. My stuffies, my baby blanket I still slept with, and every single piece of paper. It broke me. And from that moment on, I determined to learn to clean my own space, so no one would ever do it for me ever again. It was a terrible way to learn a valuable lesson. I can teach your students a less heart breaking method!
