Let's learn where electricity comes from!

In this fun and interactive class, students will have an opportunity to share what they already know about electricity. They will learn where the electricity comes from that they use to charge their computers, tablets, game consoles, and cell phones. We will discuss how electricity gets from a power generator to the power outlet on the wall in your home. Students will learn about everything from the electrical wires inside the walls of your home to the different types of power plants.

As a teacher, I will teach by modeling how the electrical wires go from the outlet and run through the wall to the exterior of your home. I will use pictures to show how the wires go from your home to the power plants that generate the electricity. I will also review various types of power plants such as solar, hydro, nuclear, and wind turbines.

The students only need to bring their desire to have fun and learn so parental supervision is optional.

My name is Billy and I have been a teacher for 25 years.  I have 3 adventurous sons that I have been able to assist in reaching above grade level in all subjects. I also have been teaching children online for the last 3 years.  My family is always up for our next adventure!  We are currently living in our 3rd country and are loving learning about different cultures and people.
