In this one time class, learners will practice joining a Minecraft Realm, loading into the world and navigating through the space. Learners will practice using the basic interactive features that make online game play fun and collaborative.  
The class will have a few minutes for introductions, and sharing what platform or device each learner is joining from.  Please note that at this time PS4 is not supported to join Bedrock Server realms.  
Each learner will walk through the steps of joining a realm using a join code.  We will have time to walk each learner through the process on each device.  Once the learners are in the realm, they may explore and practice using the chat feature to communicate with their classmates.  Any learners that have issues joining the realm will be walked through a basic troubleshooting process.  This class will help learners gain confidence in their technical aptitude when joining a realm for an online class.  This is also an opportunity for learners who have had problems joining a realm to work out those technical issues in a low stress environment.  


Learners will need to own a copy of Minecraft Bedrock edition and have it installed on at least one of the following devices : Windows 10 PC, Ipad, Iphone, Android tablet, Android phone, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch
Learners will also need to have Minecraft (Xbox Live) profiles with online play enabled on their Minecraft profiles.

IMPORTANT UPDATE REGARDING MINECRAFT MOBILE :

Minecraft is updating their requirements for mobile devices starting in October 2020.  This means that some older mobile devices will no longer be supported in Realms.  I am including a link to their article regarding which devices are affected.  If you received an update that stated your device is no longer supported, your device is affected by this update.  All classes happening before October 31st should be unaffected.  Any class after October will require a device that meets Minecraft's newest requirements.  Thank you for your understanding in this matter.
