Welcome to Holistic Study Hall + Project-Based Learning - Kind Online Level 1! This comprehensive study hall is designed to provide a nurturing and supportive environment for learners to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Let's dive into the class details to give you a clear picture of what to expect for your child's educational journey. Our class focuses on five key components: 1. independent work via the personalized learning platform included with your membership 2. adaptive diagnostics to assess mastery of subjects 3. progress monitoring sent after class to keep the lines of communication open with families 4. social time so learners get a chance to build relationships Learners will develop essential study skills, practice time management, strengthen their self-directed learning abilities, receive personalized feedback on their progress, and engage in meaningful social interactions with peers. The class structure revolves around creating a balanced environment. We begin with a brief check-in to set goals and socialize with friends for the session, followed by dedicated independent work time where learners can focus on their tasks. Throughout the class, there will be intermittent breaks for socializing and collaborative activities. A kind and supportive coach will be available to provide assistance, answer questions, and offer guidance whenever needed. Our teaching style is centered around fostering independence, autonomy, and self-motivation. Learners will have the freedom to choose their tasks and work at their own pace while receiving encouragement and support from our coach. We believe in a learner-centered approach that empowers students to take ownership of their education. Interactivity is a crucial aspect of our class. Learners will have opportunities to engage in discussions, group activities, and collaborative projects during designated social time and on the 4th day of class each week. While working independently, they can connect with the coach through chat or voice communication to seek assistance or share their progress. The class will incorporate a variety of teaching methods, including discussions, interactive exercises, and relevant educational resources. No specific prior experience or knowledge is required to join our study hall. Learners of all skill levels and backgrounds are welcome. This class is designed to accommodate a diverse range of learners, providing a supportive space for everyone to grow, learn, and excel. In our Holistic Study Hall students will have the opportunity to achieve the following learning goals:
