주당 1시간. After each session, the learners will be given no more than 10 homework problems to complete individually. Students will have the opportunity to try problems at varying levels of difficulty, based on their knowledge of a topic, and check the answers to these problems before class begins. This 3 day course will help your learner prepare for Algebra 1 or Integrated 1 math as they enter high school. We will focus on strengthening students with the basic skills needed to be successful in most 9th grade math classes. We will cover topics from pre-algebra including writing expressions, solving equations, finding slope, writing the equations of lines from tables and graphs, solving real world problems using algebraic skills. Students should be in the process of, or already completing pre-algebra or standard 8th grade math. Student will be given daily pre assessment to see what they already know about a topic, along with a short lesson covering the basics, and lots of time to practice problems and ask questions both individually, and with the group. I am an upbeat, and encouraging teacher, that strives to give all learners the opportunity to succeed in EVERY class, no matter their level of knowledge.

I have over 10 years experience teaching in a traditional classroom setting, where I was a substitute teacher, dance coach, and taught high school Mathematics. Math, English, and dance are the 3 subjects that I love to teach, and I am excited to work with your student to gain confidence, and feel motivated to learn.
