This is a flexible schedule class. A live version of this class is also available. In this Chemistry class learners will receive segment 1 of 3 of the High School Chemistry Full Curriculum class. This class is aligned with the NGSS standards. This flex class is designed for someone who needs to complete a High School Chemistry course as well as someone who is currently enrolled in a Chemistry course and wants additional help. Learners will acquire the knowledge required to meet the standards in a High School Chemistry Course. Learners will gain an understanding of the key concepts that are scheduled above.

Students will receive assignments/worksheets weekly that will reinforce what was learned in class. The worksheets will be completed on Nearpod using a link that I will provide. The students will NOT be required to login to Nearpod. The assignments/worksheets will provide them with instant feedback on their performance. I will receive a report of their performance once it is completed on the website. If there are parts of the assignments in which students are having trouble it will be reviewed during the next class. All of these assignments will be used to reinforce what the students learned in class.수업 외 주당 0 - 1 시간

(Mostly household items) Week 1 Lab Supplies: Separate a Mixture and Synthesis lab Skim Milk White Vinegar Small Pot and Stove Spoon Funnel (cheap plastic one will work) Coffee Filter Cup or Jar (that will hold your funnel) Bowl (for mixing glue) Baking Soda Water Dropper, pipette, or something similar Week 2: Polishing Pennies 4 old dark pennies 1 shiny penny 4 plastic or paper cups or bowls Vinegar Ketchup Milk Week 5: Purification of Water (Samples will be prepared in class; observations will be made after class) Jar with lid Activated Charcoal Water Food Coloring Week 8: Formation of a precipitate Epsom Salt Baking Soda water Funnel Coffee filter, filter paper, or paper towel 2 Plastic cups 2 Jars (one to mix solutions; one to hold filtrate)
