Learners will often need to refer to information from the NHD.org site. The site is maintained by the NHD project staff and contains the yearly rulebook, category information, rubrics, and project examples that are helpful for learners. The US National Archives is a great starting place for research as well as the Library of Congress. Learners are also encouraged to use their local library resources too. NHD PROHIBITED MATERIALS The following are not allowed in any competition venue or as part of a project. Weapons of any kind, including real, toys, or replicas in any form. Live animals with the exception of service animals. Live cultures or organisms. Anything that could cause damage to the competition venue.
