This class is an attempt to assemble quantitative data on monarch and other butterfly numbers at critical times during the breeding season. The data from these observations will be used to assess their value in predicting trends in the population. The data received will help explain some aspects of monarch migration and "pre-migration". I have over 20 years of experience teaching in college and universities and elementary schools. I am a veteran educator with the following degrees: a doctorate in Education Leadership; a Master's in Library and Information Science; a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems Management; a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature; 2-year Library Media Specialist Certification; 6 years as a Children and Adult Librarian at Prince George's County Public Library System. I have been successful at creating two interactive nature walks in a public school system ( virtual and mixed media). I brought a national park to a public school system without students having to leave the school on a bus for this field trip. Permission granted to use Folkmanis Puppets.
