The myths of Ancient Greece are some of the most famous in the world, being used as inspiration for countless movies, TV shows, books, and many other creative arts. In this ongoing class, students will be introduced to a different Greek God or Goddess each week. Students will discuss the 1 or 2 myths related to the God or Goddess of the week, learn about the events that inspired them (if applicable), learn about their influence on Greek society, and talk about how the myths influence modern...
Students will learn about the Gods and Myths of Ancient Greece, and will draw parallels to modern times.
I have an IDS BA in Modern Languages and Literature, Communication, and Digital Media. I have taken college courses on the Classics for my major, and am familiar with Greek mythology.
