In this week long camp, learners will learn how to write a creative story and how to use the writing process. At the beginning of each class, we will discuss favorite characters and favorite moments.  Learners will be given the opportunity to free write any ideas of what a comeback episode would look like.  The class schedule will follow The Stages of Writing - Prewriting/Drafting/Revising/Proofreading/Final Draft.

Each learner will have an opportunity to develop a character or scene from the show and have other learners provide feedback.  This is a fun and relaxed class where Gravity Falls fans can get together and have some laughs over their favorite show while learning how to write creatively.

Class 1: Prewriting Brainstorm Session - Who, What, When, Where, & Why?  

Class 2: Drafting - Begin our writing. Our thoughts become sentences and paragraphs.

Class 3: Revising - Read aloud what we have written, does it make sense? Have we written run-on sentences? 

Class 4: Proofreading - Do we have commas and periods? Have we capitalized words that follow grammar rules? Homophones??

Class 5: Final Draft - Mrs. Cristina will be reviewing your final drafts for edits and providing feedback.  Share your finished product with the class!

Please note: If the minimum enrollment is not met, the class time may not fit the entire slot.

This is an inclusive class in which students of all abilities are welcome. If a student is unable to communicate verbally they are welcome to use the chat. If your student has any other needs that require accommodations please let me know and we will work develop a way for your learner to participate in a way that they are able.
