Graphic Novel Boot Camp with Ms. Jen is a fun and engaging way to gain literacy and comprehension skills, explore art and book design, and prove that reading can be fun even to the most reluctant readers. Of course, we will be reading two graphic novels as well! Students will learn the definition of a graphic novel, artistic design, and literary elements that compose an outstanding story. We will be using a shared Graphic Novel Boot Camp Google Drive folder to submit completed assignments. Google Drive requires a Gmail account to use the Google Drive App. Students will need to attain a copy of our two class graphic novels: "Roller Girl" and "New Kid." You can purchase these from your favorite local or online bookstore, or see if you can check them out from your local library. All other materials will be provided in printable form on the first day of class.
