Middle school math can be daunting for students and parents alike. Luckily, I'm on a mission to make middle school math MAKE SENSE to your child and to help your child have a little fun along the way. I enjoy building relationships with my students and use a multi-sensory approach in my lessons, teaching with a lot of hands-on and visual activities. Eighteen years as a public school teacher in Maryland has provided me the opportunity to teach learners from diverse backgrounds with a variety of learning styles. I began my teaching career in elementary school, teaching all subjects and earning my Masters of Education with a certificate in Gifted Education from Johns Hopkins University. Later, I added both Middle School Math: 6-9 and ESOL Pre-K-12 certifications to my professional certificate. Most recently, I taught middle school math, working with both accelerated students and those with Special Education needs. Because of my varied experiences, I have many strategies to help all kinds of learners.

Classkick and Google Jamboard will be used in some classes as a way for students to independently or collaboratively practice a skill and allow me to provide students with feedback.
