Goals for science units include the following process and concept goals in addition to essential understandings of specific content areas: 1) To understand the concept of systems or change 2) To understand and apply the basic principles of experimental design and investigation, and 3) To develop reasoning skills with real-world applications to science This unit gives students a chance to sample all the main science topic areas.

Parents, students will be using Flipgrid and Loom during this course. Loom is where I store my video recordings, so students will be given a personalized safe link. Flipgrid is what the class uses to share or show/tell projects. Students will be given a personal private link to the teacher's Flipgrid website to show labs (optional). Parents, I teach for the public school system and teach on Outschool. I make sure that my classes have labels on all of the task, example: Week 1, Task 1 Week 1, Task 2 they are clearly labeled to help students not get lost and to know what order to complete the task. Students will be given a new topic each week, labs to try at home, and summary videos to watch to learn more.
