-A strong introduction to iMovie editing software for students who are interested in editing but have never used iMovie before.

-iMovie (for Mac) is a full service editing software that comes standard on Mac desktop computers, iPhones, and iPads.  It’s a free video editing software many people don’t know they already own.  

-Video editing is a great skill to have.  You can create almost any kind of movie using iMovie.  Music videos, educational films, school reports, and short documentaries are just a few possibilities. 

-This course introduces learners to the structural interface of iMovie through a full workshop on the software, its components, and other useful terminology like “export settings.”  Then we go a little further on our second day and complete a short editing project.

**Students will download project assets before each class meeting.

**iMovie is for IOS devices only.  There is no PC/Windows version of iMovie.



No cameras needed.  Each session we will work through a "project packet" which will include all of the video clips and other resources students will need to complete the project.  All that's needed here is an updated version of iMovie on your device of choice.  I will be demonstrating in iMovie installed on a desktop.  I will also post special tutorials for the iPad version when needed.
