수업 소개
Hallo und Guten Tag! This project-based German High School Expedition 2 is for learners who have already completed German expedition I or who have some prior knowledge of German. Why learn German? Universities in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland are popular thanks to their expertise, so many students from all over the world choose to study in German-speaking countries. German universities often offer excellent Master Studies for a lower price than other universities. Sprichst Du Deutsch? This project-based German Beginner Expedition II Class is for learners who are continuing their German language expedition. In the six 6-week cycles, learners will focus and work on individual projects to present at the end of each cycle. Learners will be assessed through their asynchronous work, participation in class, quizzes, and their projects. During the live meetings, the expert will use virtual presentations and short videos to introduce the content followed by learner-centred activities such as role playing and games. Tasks will be completed for personalized feedback such as videos and audio recording with questions, oral practice and the end-of-cycle projects. Learners will practice reading, speaking, and writing in each live meeting. In each lesson, we will cover the four skills - listening, - speaking, - reading, - writing, with a strong emphasis on listening and speaking during the online session. We will - listen to short audio texts to train global as well as selective listening, - build up new vocabulary, - prepare short everyday conversations in German - practice pronunciation, vocabulary, and grammar in an intensive and ongoing way, - explore authentic situations and activities and train natural, spontaneous interaction. This class is highly interactive, and the expert will encourage every learner to speak as much German as possible during the course by creating a safe, inclusive, and warm atmosphere. The expert’s teaching style is flexible in order to meet learners' specific needs, preferences, and challenges. Oral communication is the key skill in this class, so we will focus on speaking and practicing little dialogues. In our meetings, we will use different kinds of texts, comic strips, activities, exercises, drawings, photos, videos, reference materials, grammar tables, verb lists, and a glossary. In addition, the expert will also use interactive, digital, and print materials that the expert created over the course of the 16 years of leading career preparing and assessing students in German. Looking forward to seeing you in the German Expedition 2 ! Bis bald! Nadine CYCLE 1: The ARTS (drama/movies will be the topic in another cycle) The topic of the first cycle of the German Language Expedition 2 is arts. We will talk about visual art, literature, music, and famous German artists. Learners will explore German art, culture, and history. To describe art - and maybe create art, we will use adjectives and verbs. As we are digging into the past in this cycle, we will also talk about the past tense forms in German: Perfekt and Präteritum. The past tense will also enable us to read about famous German artists and write short biographies. Finally, the learners will work on their individual projects, which could either be a piece of art that they present to the class, a project on a piece of art, for an artist.
