Each week, in this ongoing class we will create a new Garfield character using a PDF I provide. Students will have the opportunity to chat and discuss all things Garfield while we make our projects. Templates and guidance will be given, and all skill levels are welcome. Every week we will focus on a different character and learn how to layer our paper to create epic masterpieces! After each cycle we will start back at the beginning. Students will be encouraged to share what they create and...
Students will learn to follow directions and how to create their very own paper Garfield and friends characters! They will work on their communication skills and will be part of a community of other like minded art and Garfield fans. They will work on their fine motor skills and listening skills.
I will provide a handout before class. Colored construction paper in various colors, scissors, glue/glue stick and something to color with.
We will be using scissors so parental supervision may be needed.
