Hi! My name is Laura and I am so excited to be teaching on Outschool! As a homeschooling parent whose kids use Outschool for their learning, I've seen firsthand how impactful and amazing online learning can be. You can expect my classes to be child-centered, engaging, and fun! 

👩‍🏫 My professional background is a mix of teaching career readiness skills within the non-profit and community college sectors and entrepreneurship. It was while working at a community college that I obtained my Masters in Education. More recently, my professional background has been entrepreneurship focused. I previously owned a subscription box business and for the last 4+ years I have been an Virtual Assistant, working with other small businesses including eCommerce brands, therapists, and many service providers.

🏡 In my spare time you can find me hanging out with my husband, two kiddos, and our dog Frank. I also am a big foodie and love watching all the cooking shows!

✏️ My teaching philosophy: I believe the best education and learning is when it's related to the learner and the world around them. 

📌 My business owner philosophy: I am a strong advocate in relationship building to grow a business and value honest and ethical business practices. Therefore, you will not find "get-rich-quick" or questionable business tips or marketing ideas in my business-focused classes.
