재미있는 2학년 수학

Practice second grade math skills: adding with carrying over, subtracting with borrowing, word problems and multiplication. 
Class is very interactive. Students are asked to bring a whiteboard for writing problems down. The teacher will be sure the student knows how to correctly form equations. 
Here is what we will practice: Time and clocks! Fun, personalized word problems, stacking addition and subtraction correctly.  Multiplication practice and understanding (1’s 2’s 5’s 10’s)
You are welcome to join this class at any time. I want to make your child feel confident and happy doing math. 

Because of my background in Montessori hands-on learning, I encourage my students to draw or write the math equations along with the teacher. We use dice, coins and sometimes bananas to "see" the math. 
We play a dice game for interaction and to build their confidence in numbers.  I will encourage your child to call out answers if they know. Small classes means we can stay unmuted most of the time in class. (Please make sure your child is in a quiet environment if possible) 
Worksheets are sent home after every class meeting for at-home practice tying into the lesson.

Week of Jan 30: reviewing multiplication: 2's, word problems, multiplying by 10 and 100! Shopping using math!
Week of Feb 6th: multiplication 3's and4's, (making flashcards)  word problems, division is the opposite of multiplication
Week of Feb 13th: Adding and subtracting big numbers quickly: tricks! Flashcards making for 5's and 6's 
Week of Feb 20th: Flashcard and practicing 7's and 8's and division of these facts. Word problems. 
Week of Feb 27th: Practicing 8's and 9's  Making flashcards and word problems. 
Week of March 6th: Practicing 10's and 11's and multiplying by 100, 1000 easily. 
Week of March 13th: Practicing 12's and looking at basic ALGEBRA problems.
