This class is designed to help students feel comfortable reading on their own while learning reading skills and strategies. Students will receive hands-on instruction and will practice oral reading along with reading strategies each week. This is an ongoing reading class for learners that have already learned letter identification and letter sounds. I am thrilled for the opportunity to teach your child the basics of reading. I have over 20 years teaching experience and am a certified Reading Specialist. I currently help design curriculum for all grade levels and have designed a list of readiness skills and a reading list that you will receive to help your child succeed in their journey of reading. My goal for each student is to help them find joy and confidence in learning. I am a passionate and patient teacher that specializes in making each student feel special and comfortable with learning new topics or mastering topics they do not feel so confident in.
