No background knowledge is needed. In this fun, interactive, one-on-one class, students will learn Hebrew based on their background and level. Beginner students will learn the Hebrew alphabet and vowels. Intermediate-level students will work on sight-reading and vocabulary. My Experience with Hebrew I attended Hebrew school from kindergarten to 9th grade. I had a Bat Mitzvah and was able to read from the Torah. In high school, I taught 4th grade Hebrew School that included planning lessons and creating fun activities to help the kids learn the alphabet. I also substitute taught and tutored Bar and Bat Mitzvah students. During college, I spent a summer in Israel volunteering at a summer camp. I lived with a host family and learned a lot of words, phrases, and basic conversation skills. Last year, I taught my son Hebrew for his Bar Mitzvah. As a beginner student, I taught my son the Hebrew alphabet and vowels and he was able to read Hebrew during his service.
