--Notebook and pencil or for taking notes and/or a small white board and dry-erase marker for working problems (though most work can be completed directly on your student's device)

Week 2: Background on student's name (origin, why they were named that) to share with class (if students and parents are comfortable)
Week 3: Things that come in 2's, 5's or 10's to share with class, small snacks for building more arrays

Week 6: Collection of 10 or more nickels
Week 7: Real world examples of rectangles and squares (toy blocks, magna tiles, books, dice...)
