Welcome to your full semester of private singing lessons! This 1:1 class will include singing foundations as well as personalized feedback and instruction. We will begin each class with a vocal warm-up and technique building exercises. After the warm up, the learner will apply what they are learning as they sing the song of their choice! I also incorporate sight-singing skills for those interested. Techniques we will cover over the 12 weeks: -Vocal Health -Diaphragmatic breathing and breath control -Intonation -Solfège scale -Vowel shaping -Mask Placement and resonance -Head, chest and mixed registers -Dynamic singing -Expression and stylizing -Sight-Singing Skills -Reading music on the staff Please note that there is not a set schedule of topics per meeting, as lessons will be catered to each learner. The pace we move will depend on the learners experience and abilities. I meet each learner where they are at! This listing is a new offering 12 50 min lessons, a full semester. Hi There! I am a Music Instructor with 20 years of experience, a professional Studio Session Singer, a published Songwriter and a Homeschool Mom. I offer vocal, piano and ukulele lessons as well as songwriting coaching.
I have worked continuously as a private music instructor for two decades. I have coached hundreds of aspiring musicians and have learned first hand what teaching techniques bring out the best in my students. I am a published songwriter and I have worked as a session singer in Los Angeles for over 10 years lending my music and voice to many tv and film projects. I'm extremely passionate about music and the incredible benefits it has to offer.
It is important to me that my students have a pleasant learning experience so I love to give positive feedback and encouragement. I will offer my knowledge and expertise at appropriate times and also keep things lighthearted and fun for young learners.
