Students will learn about and expand some basic verbal social skills (using supportive comments, asking questions) and some basic nonverbal social skills (making eye contact, nodding).

I've been a certified teacher for over 30 years (my Washington State teaching certificate includes endorsements for special education from pre-school through high school) and in that time have taught children from elementary school through high school. I've taught self-contained 5th & 6th-grade classes and was the founder of a progressive middle & high school, a place where I taught for nearly 25 years. I have decades of experience helping students build social and emotional skills in school settings and consider it to be one of my strongest gifts.
