Folktales are full of intriguing characters from witches to elves to dragons. What better way is there than to grab those characters and spin your own tale? In this two-day course, we will work on creating dynamic plotlines through brainstorming and discussion. Students will also do a mini-writing lesson to boost their writing skills as well. Here is a brief outline of each day:

Day one: First I will do a mini writing lesson, next we will do a mini-discussion on the theme which is folk-tale story writing.
Next, students will do detailed brainstorming.
Day two: First, I will do a mini writing lesson, next I will show examples of writing folktales with a twist. Then, students will write their stories
using the given writing prompts. 
We also have a little celebration afterward!
