COURSE BREAKDOWN

- 5 min. Introductions
- 5 min. Teacher will explain and demonstrate how to add and subtract fractions using the butterfly method. For example,
2/3 - 1/2 = 1/6. 
- 10 min. Teacher and students will do fraction problems together as a class. 
- 8 min. Students will complete the worksheet for independent practice (students may use scrap paper if they are unable to print). Students will be able to ask questions during this time.
- 5 min. Review problems.
- 2 min. Wrap up/Goodbyes.

PLEASE NOTE

- The student NEEDS to know multiplication facts to be successful in this class! 
- The worksheet contains 10 fraction problems but we may not complete them all or we may flip the page over and do more problems on the back, depending on how much time we have left.
- Fractions will be left improper. 
- The times stated above are just a guide and are subject to change.

EXPECTATIONS WITH MUTING
-Teacher will MUTE ALL when appropriate to minimize background noise. For example, when Teacher is explaining a topic. 
-Teacher will UNMUTE ALL at certain times of class to add an interactive element.
