분수 부트캠프!

This class will meet twice a week for six weeks.  We will cover all aspects of fractions, from like and unlike fractions, adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing fractions, reducing fractions, changing improper fractions to mixed numbers and vice versa, using whole numbers with fractions in all operations and  converting fractions to decimals and to percents. My class structure is pretty simple.  I teach the lesson, we then work problems together and then I give the students the chance to work independently.  Students will be able to ask questions freely. I teach using a white board and Zoom.  My teaching style is very open, but with the knowledge that every child can learn given the right motivation and encouragement. I will "lecture" or teach the lesson, then students will ask questions as we go through problems together. At the end of the lesson, students will work independently, so assess everyone's competency. If a students is still having trouble after the lesson is complete, I will book a time with the parent and student to work one on one with that student. 

Class one - introduction to fractions, fraction parts and diagrams of fractions.
Class two - like and unlike fractions, and equivalent fractions.
Class three - adding and subtracting fractions
Class four - reducing fractions
Class five - multiplying fractions.
Class six - dividing fractions.
Class seven - subtracting fractions with borrowing.
Class eight - changing improper fractions to mixed numbers and vice versa.
Class nine - multiplying and dividing mixed numbers
Class ten - Using whole numbers in all operations with fractions.
Class eleven - converting fractions to decimals and to percents and vice versa.
Class twelve - all operations assessment and end of class party.
