수업 소개
In this hour long lesson, we will begin by observing varieties of hummingbirds and their natural coloring. We will then start a guided drawing of the hummingbird together, adding flowers to frame the piece. Students are welcome to add their own details and personal touch. Once we are done with pencil, we will trace everything with a sharpie. I will demonstrate how to paint the hummingbird going from my lightest to my darkest colors. Students may choose their own colors or follow along. We will then paint the flowers, and finally use a sponge to dab in some green in the background to look blurry. These turn out so beautiful. I can't wait to get started!

9x12 Watercolor Paper Pencil Eraser Sharpie Watercolors Paint Brush Water Cup Paper Towel Sponge- small piece, may be cut from a kitchen sponge. If you do not have one, you can try a different technique for texture using your paintbrush.

Hi there! My name is Jessica Campbell and I was born to be an art teacher!
I mainly teach lessons that are a combination of drawing and watercolor. I have a degree in Art Education from SUNY New Paltz, and have been teaching art since 2002.
Not only have I taught in both public and private classrooms, but I also have run a successful art camp every summer for the past 15 years. At this point in my career, I have taught over 10,000 students! I am excited to work with even more in this virtual platform, especially now that my summer camps have been cancelled.
My teaching philosophy is all about building confidence in my students. I have developed lessons that are designed to be simple, yet very successful. We work step by step to create amazing projects that families will want to display. When a child feels that their work is valued, it definitely encourages them to take even more risks and achieve greater things!
