Bienvenidos a la fiesta! Let's be ready to have fun as we learn the popular Jarabe Tapatio, also known as the Mexican hat dance, while also learning and practicing to count in Spanish. Learners will learn basic footwork and hand movement used in Mexican folkloric dance. Learners will learn Spanish vocabulary needed to follow directions as they learn the dance choreography.

Not a requirement but a full circle skirt is encouraged and hard-sole shoes.
Students should have an open space to be able to move. Parental supervision is recommended while class is in session due to learner moving around to warm-up, perform dance steps, and cool down. While Mexican folkloric shoes are not required, students should wear closed-toed shoes to protect their feet. Hard-soled shoes are recommended. A board or wood floor is recommended to hear the sound of a taconazo (heel tapping the floor).
