Do you ever wonder how sound works? Why sounds are made? How sounds are made? If we can see sound? This class will allow even the youngest scientists to explore the wonders of the world of sounds around us. This class will be an on-going format. All lessons will stand alone and learners are welcome to join at anytime. The lessons will recycle after 7 weeks. Each week we will explore a lesson on sound and complete an activity corresponding to that week's topic. Lessons will include visual...

Specific activity supply lists will be sent out upon enrollment but check this list to make sure you have these items on hand: Paper cups Long string Sharp needle or pencil Scissors Package of drinking straws Scotch tape Bucket Water Plastic water bottle or soda bottle Clear mixing bowl Plastic wrap Large rubber bands Sugar crystals (raw sugar works best) Craft sticks Small rubber bands Spoons Kite string Mason jars or other glass jars Food coloring
Grown up assistance may be needed off camera for some of the activities that involve fine motor skills such as making the paper cup telephone, etc.
